I was thinking about the same setup. New Jeep will be ordered Friday. Any reason you are putting it back on the trailer? Was the tent difficult to use on the roof of the JK?
Thanks

No, it was not difficult at all to get up to the tent. Worked very well. The Congo Cage also felt very sturdy, no swaying at all. My main reason to move it on the trailer were the following:
  • The weight of the RTT was not all that noticeable on the road, but definitely caused some sweaty palms in off-camber situations off-road.
  • With the RTT on the vehicle, you have to break camp every time you want to go somewhere with the Jeep
  • The JK is too tall and the RTT too heavy for wanting to frequently take it off and put it back on; it therefore staid up there most of the time. This means ...
  • ... my mileage took a hit of about 3mpg and my JK lost noticeable power, which is a factor as it is my daily driver.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.
