Knife thread

Here's one I made about a year ago. Haven't had time to build another since then. Built as a brush knife to go with my brush gun. 9-1/8" with a 4" blade made from a 7/32" thick hand-forged 1095HC & 15N20 damascus blank and hardened to 58-60 HRC. I used Walnut Dymondwood for the scales to match my Marlin's stock, and made the sheath from layered upholstery leather that matches the lever wrap and sling on the Marlin. It's not perfect but I figured if I made it too nice I wouldn't want to be rough with it... Same ideology behind the 336Y.

ETA: I have no idea how to keep the pictures from blowing up like this... they should be resized?

Ooops I did it again...

Got another shot show Benchmade...consecutive years, consecutive numbers. It was meant to be.





 
I always love coming into this thread, and seeing an update from Peter ... the scrollwork/engraving on that folder is fantastic. Nicely done sir!
