Selling my 2005 GMC Topkick Factory Monroe truck (only 2800 made. Yes ironhide from transformer)as a combo with 2012 41resb4 Mobile Suites DRV 5th wheel for $80,000 with solar and Tools. Might consider separating them as well.
currently in western Massachusetts and heading to Oregon end of 3rd week in March.
1. 2005 GMC Topkick Factory Monroe truck
147,800 miles
ARP Head studs and C-type head gaskets, heads magna fluxed and injectors rebuilt to stock spec.
-K&N intake and full 4-6" exhaust.
-EFI Live DPS5 switch from stock to 130hp over stock.
Tuned by Motor OPS out of Canada.
-Stock transmission with a custom heavy tow tune on transmission, locks up at 20mph to keep transmission cool when using the Tap-shifter.
-Also to keep temps low I fitted a Derale 40 row transmission cooler with water proof Spal fan and shroud with all -AN fittings and hoses.
-Has PPE Gauges.
We used this truck to tow the included 5th wheel up and down the west coast and out to NC. No rust as it is a west coast vehicle.
The truck was red long before my time and previous owner had a shop do the paint it looks dang good. the bumper has been painted a few times with can as it get chips from lots of highway travel.
Currently sitting on factory 19.5" dually's with 33' tires which I used for towing. I also have a custom set of 20" wheels with 40" Nittos sitting in Oregon we could work something to get them out here as well.
Hitch in pictures (Included in the Combo offer) I have a 100 Gallon fuel cell and pump setup which is included too.
I personally would add the 6th Gear valve body from Duramax Tuner and that is about the only mod that could make this truck better.
truck gets 11 average towing and 17 unloaded on 40’s. The 6th gear mod would bring rpms down 14% which would help with 5.13 gearing. I don’t tow over 65mph beca I don’t like rpms over 2400rpm (I’m a ship captain and engineer so I love low rpms and clean reliable power)
Truck has a custom Mean Green Big frame 375amp alternator, along with 00gauge wiring as it has a smashing stereo. Any type of music and it sounds amazing from country to whatever!
The truck had a Viper Alarm, auto start system and it never worked for me. I have a whole brand new in box but never cared to wire it in.
This truck is no slouch for weighing 13,000lbs, and handles great and is much more fun to drive then my Corvette.
Has air ride front seats and dual air tanks along with an aftermarket compressor with fittings for air tools.
Rides like a truck! Dana 80 front and spicer 110 rear(has a factory LSD of some sort)
The head lights are all LED and many times better then the factory stuff.
This June we had a shop in Oregon replace all shocks with Bilstien and added a leaf to the front progressive leafs.
Also the DRV is custom lifted 8" to fit the truck.(have about 10k miles lifted and doesn’t effect tow)
2. 2012 43ft Mobile Suites DRV 5th wheel model 41resb4 is actually 43’ in length
We bought it two years ago from the first-time owner. With 30 hours on genset now has 330
It has 5 slide outs
1 Bedroom
1 Bathroom
Huge Kitchen with plenty of countertop space
There’s tons of storage everywhere
Walk in closet
Washer/Dryer
Dinette that can be extended to accommodate more people
The stovetop is induction, has a convection oven/ microwave and a fridge freezer that can be electric, or propane powered.
Two AC units, One for the bedroom and one for the main cabin
There are so many great features to this RV like the surround sound, the hydraulic landing gear with an auto level option (meaning you press a button, and the feet deploy by themselves and automatically level the RV – literally no effort needed), The awning is also electric, so you press a button, and it extends out by itself. The awning also has a high wind protection auto retract so if you are a way from the RV when the wind picks up it will roll itself up.
Satellite dish tv, central furnace, central vacuum, 40” flat screen hides behind the fireplace. Real lazy boy recliner chairs and an amazingly comfy leather couch.
100 gallon fresh, 75 grey 50 black water
Upgrades to the RV since we bought it:
-3000 Watt solar(panels made by Zamp of Bend Oregon)
-Victron 5kva Inverter
-48 VDC battery bank (8 x 6V deep cycle batteries) (I would personally change to lithium, nothing wrong with the deep cycle, but what my next project would be)
-Victron Inverter in conjunction with the battery bank has the ability to assist the shore power. In situations where the shore power isn’t enough or drops out the inverter is able to use power from the batteries for seamless AC power onboard.
-5.5 kva Onan Generator (We added the solar to be able to camp away from power sources for extended time and to minimize generator use but kept the generator as backup and for cloudy/rainy times)
-Victron mppt 100amp 48v
-New wheel bearings and brakes with spares pads and rotors and a dummy hub.
-New slide out awnings and Main Awning from Tuff top awning.
Rv is rated r25 all around, we have lived in 8 degrees to 115 degrees in it, no moistrue issues or anythin, just like living in a luxury condo. All real wood interior (oak) and fiberglass and gel coat exterior. The trailer was 153k new are these are the only 5th wheels built to commercial standards with 17” box frames 4 wheel independent suspension 4 wheel disk breaks. Just and all around awesome setup.
-Also included is a trailer saver receiver hitch which uses 3 air bags and 2 shocks to give you a very nice ride. (the camper rides amazing calm and smooth because of the hitch and the independent suspension and 4 wheel disk brakes on the axle)
selling because I got my wife pregnant and moving To Hawai’i. (moving to Hawai’i with her lol)
cons Truck:
one 1” dent on tail gate from me backing into trailer pinbox and on side marker on body fell off last year.
trailer has starboard forward aluminum panel dented from my little brother running my atv into it and a few scrapes from my transfer pump kissing the underside of the Rv.
rear has has a repaier to bottom lip as we caught it when We first got it on some BLM land in oregon(asked the wrong person to spot me) was not only repaired but reinforced heavier and painted back to factory.
As an engineer I have several thousand in tool (rough guess 5k) included price included high end pots pans, kitChen appliances (everything you can buy from Costco)
in the winter I see 6kw average on solar, there is 30 panels wires in 6 groups of 5 and has been a real game change. I have a dual Motorcyle rack off the front if wanted, also a 7.5 kv transformer(if wanted)
i Know this isn’t everyon’s cup of tea, but it was awesome for us as we used it as base camp, and would take our landcruiser or enduros to explore more but always had this as home.
