total thread hijack, but is there an application for Jeep cherokee's, as far as aux tanks go? I don't find anyone other that gen-right, who simply makes a bigger main tank.

thanks!

What capacity are they? It doesn't say. That's a major detail.

Also, do they mount in the stock location or where the factory spare rides?

$800 for a complete kit w/ free shipping is a great price by the way. I paid over $1,000 for our Long Range Auto setup and i had to Will call it.

ooopsss :)

45 gallon capacity. Mount where the spare tire is so you get 45 gallons on top of the factory tank's 20 gallons.

Transfer pump, dual filler neck, and all the bits and pieces are included...

I wish I had the money to throw at that right now, it looks like a great deal.

I have a question about DOT regulations. You are the first fuel tank reseller I've ever seen even mention them (for Toyota's anyway, lots of mention when it comes to Ford and Dodge pickups used by contractors). Do DOT regulations apply to aux. tanks on non-commercial vehicles? Is there a size limit after which they apply? Is there a contact at DOT or other resource able to answer my questions?

On another note, what do you use for dual filler necks? Are these available separately (from you or your supplier?) I had a lead a while back on a cheap tank that would have worked if I could come up with all the plumbing. I couldn't on short notice and so passed, but it got me thinking.

Thanks,
JFS III

I already have the 13 gal OEM aux tank installed and plumbed with the dual filler neck and transfer pump. Is it possible to buy just the tank only rather than the whole kit? If so, how much would that be? I've been wanting to sell the OEM aux tank and get something with more capacity.

This tanks are not DOT approved and are meant for off road use only.

The dual filler neck comes as part of the kit and I do not have any extra available at the moment.

Yes, very interested and may purchase. As per the dual-filler neck is this a sourced Toyota OEM part? Additionally, can you provide some detail on the transfer pump mechanism? Specifically, how is it triggered?

I will get a price for you, i do have one opened unit that I can part out :)

The tank is the expensive part though... Specially since free shipping is part of the deal.

Usually it's just a transfer flow pump and a switch. When your main tank gets low, you flip the switch and transfer through the breather on the stock tank. Our MAF kit has a switch with built in LED gauge so you know how much fuel is in the Aux tank.

I think the only dual-filler necks that exist are Toyota.

Dave, thinking the same thing just want to check. I ask on the switch as my FZJ80 had (so lucky) a nice OEM aux tank switch (minus aux tank!) when purchased and would like to employ that, don't know if it is a continual switch or momentary.

Maybe it can be combined with another order if someone else is shipping to SoCal?.

I'm only familiar with the Long Ranger product. How does the FrontRunner compare for the 80 series? How much rear ground clearance is lost?

Scott Gotcha, i figured you knew that..

Just for additional info for anyone else, our switch looks like this with built in gauge.
(yes beyond terrible pic)

Im interested to know what this kit uses as well Scott.

Yeah, clearance photos available? That's what i like about the 24... you don't even know its there.
