Land Rover Defender SVX

Land Rover is celebrating its 60th anniversary (1948 - 2008) with a special edition Defender. The mechanicals remain unchanged, but appearance is "improved" with special paint and interior finishes.

There would be a lot more celebrating if LR would build a Defender that meets USA emissions and safety regulations.

I would gladly drive it... A simple grill and hood change would return it back to the classic look

Here is an article on the SVX. In addition to Scott's comments about the grill and bonnet, I'd probably powder coat the rollbar black.

Needs to all be removed, paint-stripped and hot-dip galvanized!

I have to say that it is 10X better looking than the Defender Land Rover currently sells here in the states.

Thanks to Congress protecting us from ourselves the thought of this vehicle in the US will remain hypothetical.
