No, this is a historic, collectible Jeep and should not be modified in any way.

Supposedly it has a bit of rust from the salt flats.

I have pics of this truck sitting in the Chrysler museum archives in Auburn Hills Mi awaiting restoration. It looked like it had white corrosion everywhere underneath. The pics further down are from Nov. 2008.
