We have a pair of them too. I take them inside at night to conserve house battery power. They do a great job. I just need to remember to take them with us! We use them hanging from our porch at home too.

I have had good results with a black diamond orbit lantern. Good battery life, price is reasonable and it dims

I have been using the BD orbit's bigger brother the Apollo for a few years in the RTT and works nicely.
The dimming feature works great when the kids are up there and I need to find something without disturbing them too much.

LED Solar Lamp for Tent Lighting

But how did you solve the power issue? I mean, what did you use to light up the LED when there is no current electricity out there? All I can think of is LED solar lamp because a solar-powered LED lamp can convert sunlight into power directly.
