Here's mine, just completed. Drawers are push-lock and leds are pressure switch activated individually.
I had to raise my rear cover to allow for my fridge. Raised it about 2" Works like a charm. It isn't quite water proof/tight, but it's close, and allows me to run a bikini top and doorless with out worried someone is going to jack my stuff, or that it'll blow out on the highway.

Would be great to see pics how you did this? I have been debating how to run with both ARB fridge and the Tuffy deck.

Here is my very modest submission for a simple, off the shelf tailgate organizer and first aid kit set-up. The tailgate organizer is made by Covercraft and holds some basic recovery equipment to include my winch remote, shackles and recovery strap. The organizer attaches with 3M double sided tape and I used an extra roll during installation to hold more weight. The first aid kit is water tight and is attached to the tailgate with heavy duty adhesive-backed velcro so it is removeable.

I did the trunk cover solely to keep water out and stuff inside while topless. I raised it solely to fit my waeco fridge/freezer. I need to make a few adjustments (a lid on the back so I don't have to access the fridge from the back seat), but overall I'm quite happy with it.

I removed the rear seats altogether.... and installed a Kilby JK Floor Kit. Also, that's a Safari Strap on the roof inside my top. Holds lightweight stuff like down coats, vests, knit hats etc.....
I also installed Bestop under seat storage box, and a Tuffy Locking Cubby.

i would think straps or ropes, in addition to long items well padded, would be very handily stored in an open, full width, bumper

My thoughts exactly... I have to really work to get the snow slush/dirt/mud out from inside my *open* full width bumper. I don't think it would work too well. I suppose that all depends on where you travel, and what type of tires you have on?

Here is a pic of the storage area of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ). I got tired of just piling stuff in the back, and so I made a cargo rack out of some steel I had lying around. I then made a floor for it with polypropylene webbing to keep the weight of it down so I could remove it easily if I needed to. The net you see allows me to pile stuff on top of the rack, or really pack the storage area full without stuff spilling over the back seat when I put on the brakes. I got the net at a great price from: www.trailtuffnets.com In the interest of full disclosure, I have to confess that my sons make these nets for sale. Buy one (or more), and help put them through college - LOL.
