Updates on the 89
Some updated photos of my truck. Recently I placed an ad on CL to purchase a camper shell that will fit my specific truck bed. Had a guy an hour and a half away swear he had one the correct size that he was SURE would fit.....fail! It was a really nice older Leer but almost fell inside my truck bed when we set it up on the rails. It was obviously from a newer truck. So eventually I got a call (another hour and a half away), and went and scored a really nice Bac Pac that was mounted on a 69 C10 for $100. Front window was gone, keys were missing for rear latches, but had nice ceiling support tubing and tinted sliding windows on the sides. Good stuff!! Here are a few pictures of how it looks, and one shot of what I've done so far to the inside. I have other plans also as time allows. We're planning to put it to the test as far as actually camping in it this winter. I still need to insulate the inside and do a few more modifications.

Here's my 2001. Silverado with a 5.3L, 14 bolt full floater out back (shaved and has grizzly locker), Dana 60 front, 4.56 gears, 14" travel Bilstein 5150s, New 52" leaf springs up front, factory 63" springs out back with AAL and shackle flip (overload removed), NP241 Transfer Case (soon to be a 241-241 doubler) and 37" MTRs on H2s.
And one of it clean:
Still working on outfitting it for expeditions/long off road trips, but it currently has a toolbox full of tools capable of replacing any part of the truck (except for internal engine and transmission parts), water storage, inverter, full size spare, tent, emergency blankets and first aid, etc.
Plus a half decent stereo for those long highway rides

This has to be one of my favorite trucks right now! How are you liking the leaf springs in the front vs. coils or coil overs?
