Lets see some full size pictures...

I have a Domestic Full size! Sadly, it's only a 2WD, so my "expeditions" will be limited to the highway and trustworthy fire lanes. I spent the summer taking two regular high top fiberglass caps and turning into something bigger. Now winter is coming, so the fun has to wait until spring.

That's a Bronco, to me. I understand that the original came about because of Ford's involvement in Jeep development. I also understand that Chevy got in the same game by simply modifying their pickup to create the Blazer, and by '78, Ford had switched from Jeep-ish design to basing the Bronco off the pickup, as Chevy had. So by the time I was 10 until I was punching 30, the Bronco was a truck, not a Jeep. So I'm partial to it this way.

560 miles off road
From Mojave California to 100 miles south of winnemucca NV.

Kind of.

The IH Scout wasf aimed at Jeep which by then was kind of a street legal version of todays side by side. Scout was a working utility vehicle but was a hair more civilized. So after watching the Scout succeed for a couple years Ford decided to the counter the Scout so they whipped together the Bronco.

Willys and Ford did get into a legal battle after the war as Ford had done a lot of advancing to the Jeep (down to designing the much simplified grille they are still so proud of) over who got to keep the final product. Willys ended up with Jeep but had to change the number of slots in the grille from 9 to 7.

Furthermore, Jeep didnt really embrace that 7 slot grill as a specific design feature until the mid to lat 1990's. Other Jeep SUVS had different number if slots. The original run of the ZJ Grand Cherokee had 8, for example. It wasn't until the half-run redress that it dropped to, and stated at 7 slots

I got to spend a few days in the Ozark National Forest recently with my boy. Always wonderful to spend time in God's Creation with my son!

Love love love those "last of the big Blazers." Or even 1st Gen 2 Door Tahoes. Had two of these and wish I still had one

1995 was the year GM switched from calling the 2 doors a Blazer to Tahoe. When I first bought mine 20 years ago, it took a while for me to call it a Tahoe, as in my mind it was actually a Blazer. I almost purchased some Blazer emblems to put on it, but eventually I got over it and now it's a Tahoe to me.

Funny enough there is actually one up for auction on BAT right now...

Took me a few years, but I was too satisfied with factory suspension and wheels until I wasn't (for several reasons).

Carli Commuter with Fox/Eibach, 2" lift up front, with Fox shocks/Carli springs and approx. .5" lift in the rear.

Weld Stealth in 18x9 ET-12 with BFG KO2 in 33x12.5-18.

Fox/Eibach. OEM UCA. Since I don't have the extended travel, I did not opt for the UCA.

FLTR: Fox shock / Carli Spring / Carli extended sway bar end links.

Driving is so much better, smoother, thanks to a fantastic bump/rebound setting.
Best experienced over rough terrain like a railroad crossing.

It's just the Commuter system, so it's not a desert blaster, but I'm getting the strong urge to build/buy a desert blaster...
I hope the front settles a bit since I don't like the Cali lean (I like a nice rake stance).
But for some, unknown to me, reason I did not take a before/after measurement.

Well worth the money if you ask me, and I'm okay that it comes with the loss of ~10% payload capacity.
We do use a trailer every now and then, but it's not every day.
