Lets see those overland rig interiors

Have not seen a thread like this yet.
Just cleaned up my interior after a weeks worth of rain getting in and out took its toll on it.
We had some pretty nasty rain the past few weeks, and since I have to live in this thing commuting back and forth to work, and play in it, I like it clean.
I accumulate a lot of dust inside too, as I like to drive with my windows down, even in the rain they are down part way.
I can not stand having windows all the way up, I feel trapped.
Keeps my allergies down too when I keep the inside clean :sombrero:

Shots like these give ideas too so others can see how you did certain things in your rig.

I shot these with the GoPro HD Helmet camera out of its case.
Since there is no viewfinder on it, I realized I was a little too far away.
I had it set to 720P wideangle, and when shooting it, it seemed like I was a lot closer to the rig, but the pics make it appear I was standing further away.
GoPro is coming out later with a module that plugs into the camera to preview the pictures.
Not sure if this only allows you to see the pics after you shot them, or if it allows you to see in real time what you are shooting.

Photos are untouched with the exception of downsizing from 2592x1944 to 1200x900 pixels.

I like the effects on this one, it makes the rack and roof appear to be curved.

I think I will have red powder dust from N.AZ until the day the truck dies. :D
I finished the cockpit up recently, just need to put some switches in for the new lighting (thus the loose wire). I might add a carputer at some point for music/nav, but that is a very low priority.

The back is a different story entirely though...

I figured out that if I gut the interior I can have just under 4' of vertical building space, and a bed 6.5' long and 5.5' wide. I guess I'm committed now. Plans: onboard water, drawer system for all the essential gear, fridge, and probably an ultra-thin futon mattress for the top.

I dig all the ham gear you have.
I need to get motivated and get my license still and finish my installation of mine.

I have the remote head mounted only, and still need to run the coax and put the radio itself under the passenger seat and wire it in.
