This was back in '07, went a bit crazy as the focus was more serious trail duty with minimal provisions for two- Clayton long arm, coil overs, 40's, ram assist, custom axles- quite the $$ pit:

This was my 2006 LJ with AEV Pintler beadlocks and highline kit, 35s and no lift. I regret getting rid of it..

I had a 98 Wrangler, loved that thing and beat her every chance I could. The only thing I wanted was a longer rear like the unlimited has. I am not in the market, but if I was, and had the funds, in a heartbeat I'd get one.

Everyone compares the LJ's to Scrambler's, IMO they are a modern CJ-6. I was actually looking at building a CJ-6 when the Unlimited's came out. The long wheel base/short overhangs of the Unlimited are more similar to the -6 than they are to the longer overhang on the -8 (Scrambler). I know tom-A-toes/tom-a-tos, just saying is all!:sombrero:
