Ah I see. I dont like the460s as much for some reason. Not the outside or inside. I do like the MPG gain it made me consider it. But for 10k, I can beef up the 470 if that really became an issue for me, the payload. I just dont wanna be one of these guys sticking 40k into a car worth 13k KBB just so I can carry 300lbs of fuel lol

Exactly what I did. I was between the 470 and the 460 but a clean, dealer maintained 470 came up right up the street and went for it, put the savings into the build. If had another 10k i would have went with a 460 for the more modern amenities but the 470 Is still pretty loaded up even by todays standards.

I think in reality I should be shopping for a 460. Im going to go drive on IRL and see if I like it. I think that 1-2mpg that the460 will see over a 470 might be the deal breaker tbh. 11mpg vs 13 or 12 vs 14 is pretty big.
The 8.2 rear end is a big positive for the 460 too. Especially if you are wheeling heavy. The 8.0 is a weak spot on the 470.

The lexus factory crossbars are actually very well engineered and may surprise you. One of the highest quality accessories I've used and more than adequate for canoes kayaks or SUPs
Thank you for the info. I’ve been wondering, but haven’t seen one in person.

Here's my wife's bone stock, non-KDSS, non-nav 470 that we picked up in Tucson a couple of years ago. Zero rust, no accidents, 152k, and pages of Lexus service history. So far since ownership... baselined fluids, replaced the gas cap (twice) and fixed the center diff by replacing the leaky TC o-rings. Only mods to date include LED fogs, low beams, and reverse lights and plastidipped emblems and grill. Finally got her to agree to bigger tires and a lift as long as I leave her the running boards. Eibach pro truck lift kit on order and trying to deciding on which UCA's to go with. Can't wait to turn this into my new mountain/hunting rig when I give my son my 100 series and upgrade her to a 460! Love this rig. IMG_4358.JPG
