This is mine. Started as a 2wd sedan before transfering all the running gear from my rusty wagon. Suprisingly comfortable. Have a fridge mounted in the middle of the rear seats and am about to fit a small winch and some LED work lights. No body lift but have fitted King springs and 2wd rear shocks which are longer than the 4wd units. Oh and 14" Hankook RT01's which are a straight Mud Terrain copy. The only real 14"offroad tyre available here. Have seen 15"s on them but the gearing just won't handle it. Plenty of heavily modified wagons here too but sedans are rare. Made all the bars at work. Check out www.ausubaru.com.au

BTW in both the bottom pics the thing is way overloaded. Normally it sits at the same hieght as the old wagon did in the first pic.

John.

I love these crazy lifted Subies! I've seen some cool old lifted and beaten wagons running around remote areas of CO. Makes me want one!? I know I have a sickness...just ask my wife! :victory:

a few years ago a suby group came out to the local 4x4 park...I was so impressed...my wife now has a forrester!!

they were fun...but anytime they got stuck we usually got a couple guys to push...didnt have to strap one all day!!

My Mom had one while I was growing up. Used to drive it all over northern NM. She still says that was her favorite car, and she's had a couple cool ones, like a WWII GP, a K-10 Blazer.

Is it just me or do the rear half shafts make you nervous the way they are open to impact?

Yea, I was admiring the ground clearance the other night when I spotted that. I would be a little weary of those when playing around any rocks.

Man I love lifted scoobs, I'm really considering one as my next vehicle.
