Light weight rock crawler trailer

Would that neoprene tape work well for a camper shell? Looking for something to put on the rails of my truck topper. Locally available stuff is junk.

Other than solid rubber, I don't know what would be more durable. If you check out my build, I use it between the box and the floor. It supports the total weight of the box and lid and hasn't shown any signs of wear.

Digging your setup, very nice and original thinking. Might I suggest slowing down the GPM on that shower head to conserve water? Drill a small hole in a penny and use it as a flow restrictor is a possible cheap solution

Keep up the good work.

I've reduced the flow and epoxied a row of holes on the shower head. This way there is less water flowing, but with plenty of pressure from the stream of water. The water heater has a minimum requirement to stay lit too. It was tricky to figure out the balance, but it's pretty dialed in now.

Thanks for the thought.

I'd be quite interested in seeing a video similar to the prior air bag demo that showed the arms in action. Perhaps a go-pro camera. I'd really like to see a straight axle and independent roll up/down the same trail just to see the difference. I know, I'm weird, but I am into trailer porn I guess.

I'd like to see this too. I don't know anybody with a similar solid axle trailer though. I've thought about putting a go=-pro under the trailer, just to check it out. I don't have any trips planned right now, but will put this in my plans.

I might have missed it but where did you get the wheel for your tongue jack, did you just weld it on to the bottom of the foot? Does it rotate well under weight? I need to find something like that for my trailer.

Both the jack and the wheel are from Harbor Freight. I welded the wheel to the bottom of the jack. The foot plate of the jack needed to be trimmed on each side.

Almost finished.

I've added to the 2 minute kitchen, so I'll do an updated video soon.

Call me a fool, but I'm thinking about selling it. If I got an offer over 10K, she may find a new home.

Man i would love to buy that! But I'm about $50K short of that $10K starting point :-)

Woods, I got your PM (just recently), and if you still have the weather stripping, I still want it. If you are home this Friday in the early afternoon, I could swing buy and pick it up.

I'll be here. Now go make some money...

I got to see this trailer in person. First impression: Whoa! its big! Second impression: There is nothing standard or conventional in this build. It is exceptionally creative and seems very effective and efficient. I am very impressed with the ingenuity and workmanship that went into this trailer. But now its built and Woody is bored. Someone come take this thing out of his driveway so he can build another!
