35s can be done on a YJ fairly short, even SOA

main.php

(hope that shows up).

This is the comp YJ I used to wrench on. Its running 2" lift BDS springs with a few layers removed in the rear to get it to flex better. Its on 36s and still sits pretty low, and as you can see from the pic is still fairly stable (granted no RTT :) ).

For street SOA Jeeps on 35s I've had the best luck with the RE 1.5" lift springs. Once they wear in they are a very good height. They are also milwrap and setup for SOA so they tend to last a good long while.

The MORE or nth (if you can still get it) traction bars are definately worth it. The trick with the MORE and a YJ is finding a good place to mount it. A stock YJ skid tends to be real thing and after a while they tear off.

I'm building mine from Ruffstuff off-road. I ordered there traction bar kit. It comes with everything but the DOM and shackle. Not to bad for 75.00. I have DOM here.

Well the pack I got from a friend were 8 leaf packs I broke them apart and brought them back down to 5 leaf packs which still net me lift about where the RE 1.5 would put me.

My take on a Expo rig is to Keep things simple. With an on board welder you can fix just about anything on a leaf system.

In that pic, every spring mount except the front 2 were from ruff stuff. I had gotten it converted over before that come. Also including their 'track bar' bracket for the hydro assist ram.

Shortly after that pic was taken the Jeep barrel rolled off those rocks and ripped the last stock mount off @ the front shackle. Spent the next 40 minutes using a ready welder to put it back on. Just barely made it to the line for our next run :)

Its really hard to beat the ruff stuff stuff for shear bang for the buck.
