Depending on where you have your vent placed. I have mine at the back of the camper, and have a ton of real estate for panels.I also have the roof vent on my build. I was planning on doing the low bars and then mounting solar panels on them. Probably with a drop bracket so that the panels are flush with the top of the load bars.
Would that work? Is there enough room at the front of the camper To fit panels?
Thanks

Fan placement is optional. I chose the back half, which works out better for me for two reasons. It leaves more real estate up front for solar panels. Being the solar wiring ports are up front, I’d rather have my panels placed there. Also it allows the fan to be placed near the open portion of the cabin when the roof is closed. Being in Texas I’d like to still run the fan on warm days even if the roof is closed so I don’t open it up to a complete sauna. Thanks for the pics it’s the first one I’ve seen that shows exactly where it is on the roof. What’s that black part on the roof? I’m installing 3-100 watt flexible panels (some day) so the fan placement was critical.
I plan to do this, but will likely wait until the warmer months so that I get good adhesion. I assume you purchased a roll of carpet, measure, and cut to fit? 3m spray on adhesive.I applied carpet on my roof, but stopped half way because we sometimes like to use our projector on white panelsView attachment 812920View attachment 812922
Exactly. Marine carpet from Home Depot and a couple cans of 3M Heavy Duty 90 spray adhesive. Did the cab window area and cab overhang under the bed too.I plan to do this, but will likely wait until the warmer months so that I get good adhesion. I agree, the look is definitely a nice bonus. I noticed a huge difference in condensation before and after adding the carpet. We slept in Moab, 20-30°s and raining, we ran our diesel heater with interior temps at 60°. No condensation with the carpet installed.Oh yea, that looks great. I think it helps make the camper a bit more "cozy" and less utilitarian. I'm hoping adding carpet to the ceiling will help with condensation. Even with the fan running it still builds up. The handful of times haven't used the fan my sleeping bag/sheets have been very wet from condensation drips.
I've debated doing the side panels to be able to throw my patch collection on.
EDIT: I may also do the underside of the bed.
