I've read several posts where users are trying to get information to study for their Amateur Radio License. Wouldn't it be great to have a thread where those people can post up their location and some of us who have our license can help them?
Here are some thoughts of helpful things:
Now, here's where it gets interesting. Many of the amateurs who get their Technician License never actually use it. Maybe they're too shy to make that first contact. Maybe they don't have a radio and don't know where to start looking. So, it would really be nice to see these "Elmers" help newcomers through the entire process until they're comfortable dialing in a repeater, setting the tone and offset on their radio, keying up and making a contact. Might I even suggest the Expo Echolink net?
Anyway, I'm up for it. If anyone needs help in Central Arkansas feel free to PM me and I'll try to help get you going in the right direction.
Anyone else interested in helping, please post.

Here are some thoughts of helpful things:
- Point people to study materials
- Help people locate local testing sessions
- Answering questions (you don't have to be an expert)
