I think the original measurement was like 34 an 5/8 center to center. after I centered the axles up I had to add right at a inch...

to center the axles I put plum bobs on all 4 corners an then measured from the bead of the rim to the plum line...not sure if that's the correct way but that's the way I did it ...in my opinion as long as you measure from 2 fixed points (one on the axles an one on the frame) you should be pretty close....

Project update

The fender flares are finished and for the most part they fit the P38 well.

The fronts fit just about perfect

The rear sections provided the much needed room for the tires

All that's left is to make the final trim on the rear section, once we have the new bumpers

Project update

The sliders have been trimmed to fit with the fender flares. Hooray we can now turn with out rubbing! When the snow clears out I'll take some good pictures but for now I have trail shots.

The tree bars were true to their name and I needed to use them often in the tight wooded area.

As you can see in this picture the tree bar portion on the slider sticks out just far enough to keep the door skins safe from damage.

Nice.

So I finished up the coil conversion this weekend. The used HD springs I had were too low and I came across some RTE springs for a 2 inch l8ft on a disco. The fronts measure 385 and 225lbs with the rear at 410 and 320lbs. Basically equivalent to OME 751s in front and 762s in rear. With those springs on I have achieved the lift I want for now.

The original EAS measured from center wheel to lip was 18in for highway height 19 for standard and 20.5 for offroad.
With RTE 2s with winch, sliders, skids I am 21.75 in front and 21.25 in rear. I am worried about the rear sagging loaded up.

Gonna keep my 31s for now but hope to go with at least 32s and possibly 33s sometime soon.

Coil pics

Here is a pic of the coils I was playing with.

From left to right: RTE2 rear 410mm, 320lbs; RTE2 front 385mm, 225lbs; HD front and rear unknown brand 385mm, Arnott standard front and then Arnott standard rear.

I also would like to lift the rear a bit more as it will sag when loaded up with gear. I already have the 10mm LR spring isolators on. The spacers my buddy has (and you sell) won't work with the spring perches I have b/c the perches have studs in the bottom that can't be changed.

Definitely getting some vibration on the freeway when lifting off the gas at 60mph. May need to hit you up (Justin) for a double cardon front driveshaft.
