Gearing up for another big trip. 2500 miles in 10 days. Los Angeles to Zion National Park to Yellowstone to Tahoe then home with a bunch of little stops along the way.

If anyone has any recommendations for Yellowstone or Idaho that would be awesome!

With the trip coming up, I think its time to re-do the inside of the van. At least the driver side wall. We will see what I can get done this next week before the trip.

Recently did the starter relay mod and have been slowly ripping old wires out and cleaning up the ratsnest under the dash.

Also added bent and welded this up with a buddy of mine to get the generator two bundles of firewood and a jerry can out of the back of the ambulance to clear up some room in the back. Going to be taking it off and LINE-Xing it

Looks good Dakota. I like the face you put on for that pic. The window up front looks like a good addition too. Cheers, Chilli..

So ive been crunching these past 4 days trying to get the back remodeled before our big Yellowstone adventure.

I made a rack a few weeks ago and finally got around to LINE-Xing it and its now ready to mount my two 5 gallon jugs up there along with my honda generator on trips.

As far as the rear remodel. Ive pretty much got the driver side done other than some finishing touches and making a drawer for the closet.

The passenger side has a bit more to go and a buncha drawers to make still hopefully i can get that done tomorrow. Because i still need to wire in the alternator charging system for the aux battery thats only running off solar right now.

Heres some photos from half way through today.

how much weight do you think that adds? Love the look..... love the smell.... but the weight scares me.... when taking into account batteries that could be added instead to maximize use of 1000w of solar panels. Think will be going with vinyl Faux wood.

Is your slider coming out of the left side gonna be your kitchen(I’m headed the same way) and how do you access ur ARB? Our fridge will be on the right and we’re leaning toward a countertop that open to access it.

and what slide(length and source) are those? I found the longer heavier duty ones to be quite expensive.

Weight of what the wood furniture or the paneling? The paneling is super thin paneling from lowes and i made the wood furniture out of 2.5x.75 wood which is super light. As far as the batteries yeah those things add a good amount of weight. Ill most likely only every have two.

Overall i bet the weight of the wood all together is close to 150 pounds give or take

The slider coming out of the left was from amazon it was the 36 inch slide was like 100 bucks. Its not going to be a kitchen because the ambulance is too tall but it will be nice to be able to use it as a table to eat or cut stuff or put our stove on if i ever need to. Not really sure what im putting in there yet its my “garage” area right now all the big ******** gets put in there
