I have seen that. I am concerned about 19 extra pounds hanging out that far on the bolt they use. Would love the extra gas though.

• T-18 Tranny with 6.32 granny – complete rebuild (case powder coated to match jeep)
• Dana 20 Transfer with Advance Adapter low gears and Don’s Twin Sticks (case powder coated to match jeep)
• CV style custom rear driveshaft
• Rear-Widetrack Dana 44 with Detroit “soft locker” and Ford Explorer Disc brake conversion
• Skyjacker 4”spring lift
• Daystar 1” body lift
• Rancho RX9000X shocks front and rear
• Eagle Alloy (series 058) 15” x 10” wheels with BF Goodrich KM2 33” x 12.50”

Very cool cj!!!!!!!!!!!!, where could I find info on the explore disc. conversion, and when done do you retain the 5 on 5 1/2 bolt patern ?

Since it is on a Dana 44 it should be easy to find. I had mine done in 2000 by MIT in El Cajon, CA. They used a "late model" Ford Explorer brake system. I believe it is 95 and up systems back then.

And if you have the AMC 20 rear axle, there is a DIY disc brake swap using Sammy front rotors and 280Z calipers. (calipers have parking brake feature)
VERY NICE CJ Don!! Hoping to get my '80 back to that state this fall. It's rock crawling days are done!

The Saga Continues Part 5
After a long wait, the lids are finally on their way today or tomorrow.
The red one belongs to another member on here, KA5IVR, and the white one leaning against the wall is mine. I had mine left in primer on the outside as it will be painted to match the jeep.
And here they are boxed up and almost ready to go. They should here in a week and I cannot wait. More photos of the arrival, delivery to the house and test fit will be posted soon (hopefully).
The timing is perfect as it gives me the cold months (for TX anyway) to work on this.
