The hubs came in so the wheels are on now.

The metal was ready at the metal shop, with all the bends in it. Here is a test fit.

I think I need a bigger truck!
I like the size of this trailer compared to the factory units. I find mine to be a little small, especially in height of the sides. Nice build, looking great so far.

The trailer is a little larger than the standard 416. Here is some pictures from the last weekend of work. Filled in the back for the tail gate and built the lid. Used the same technique as with the floor punch holes in the metal and spot welded them.

Last weekend's work was welding on the hinges, adjusting for the struts, welding a lip around the lid and building the roof rack.

If you look close you can see the lip that was welded around the edge of the lid. It's two purpose, first it will keep out the water and second it will help keep it square with the strut pushing against it.

The building of the roof rack. My brother loves the hole punch he bought.

The tail gate and tongue box came in this week so they will be next.

Some new pictures and work. Struts were installed on the roof rack to assist in lifting the rack when the tent is installed. The struts are 25 lbs struts one on each support pole. This was a test.

The tongue box came in and was installed, it is a tall one and not as long. The tongue box will be used for the battery and all the other electrical components.

Took it out for a test drive and a test of the tail gate opening.

Match the wheels too, Or paint the steelies to match the two tone silver.
Great build.

I could drop off my M101A2 frame for build number four!

The wheels are going to stay would like wheels to match but the price point is to high. Sorry but build four and five are already in the works.
So here is some new progress on the tailgate. The edges were all cut off, new metal was added to the top and bottom.

A little body work going on. Also the latches were installed for the lid. They are connected so you only have to pull on one not both to open it.
