Main Line Overland JK Build Thread

I saw your JK a while back in Ardmore. It looked nice. My one suggestion would be to work on some corrosion protection now. I like waxoyl products. This area is not as bad as New England or the Midwest, but unprotected rovers suffer badly and I have see TJs rust out and I don't know that the JK will fare much better you can see some rust forming in the bumper install picture. Anyway, if I see you again on the main line (west chester is a bit off the main line if you will) I will be sure to flag you down. The only overland type vehicle you are likely to see me in is my red D90.

Hey nice to see another local on here. Yes good point, there is a bit of clean-up on the underside I can do, some of the redness is actually clay from Moab that is still stuck to the underside. We have been so busy that finding time is a challenge, but I digress. See you around town.

Fantastic write up on this build. As most folks, this is where I'd like to turn my jku into. Thanks for keeping this thread alive.

Another new addition to the MLO JK, ARB Intensity LED Spot lights. These lights are high quality, bright as the sun, impact resistant, stainless-steel mounting brackets, Deutsch connectors, etc. We also love their size, as they fill the AEV bumper hoop nicely.

Some updates and some pictures.
We recently installed an AEV heat reduction hood along with the Gen 2 AEV snorkel. It did fit with the Gobi rack but required minor shimming at the windshield mount. It also worked perfected with our custom dual battery tray.

Some new Rigid LED light bars added up top on our Gobi Stealth rack.

Just got back from a grand tour of Atlantic Canada, including New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Labrador and Quebec. This is a shot of us loading onto the ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. More to come on that trip or checkout our Facebook page for loads of pics.

Nice pics. I was behind you on ardmore ave (in my VW, not my defender, alas) and I notice there is no visible third brake light because of all of the stuff on the tire carrier, have you thought about fitting one to the hardtop?
