I bet those Coopers are great! I saw them when they 1st came out and are in my top ranking of tires for many reasons.
Looks like an OZ truck now. Coopers and Black flares...

Looks like you took your time and as a result they look great. Nice and uniform look, nothing on the wonk!

It seems with all those torx screws they would be less prone to coming off on the trail than the factory ones.

I was skeptical when I heard your plan to go with pocket flares, but they match the ARB and snorkel so well it looks like it was meant to be! Nice work and write up.:sombrero:

Nice post as always! I'm not a fan of the flares so much but I don't think they look bad either. And I can certainly appreciate how it's an individual touch to the overall look. It does seem disappointing that they arrived unpainted on the underside. Good job on taking care of that and making all efforts to do the job right.

I too am curious about any future rack/tent plans. Sleeping 4 sounds like a challenge, especially as 2 keep growing. :) I've still not settled on what's best four our family of three, so I'm curious to see what direction you take.

What r your plans for tent, rack, etc?

With the sale of the Eezi-Awn our plans are to ground tent as a family for now and when solo... I'll sleep in the Cruiser. As for roof rack, I'm hoping our new Hannibal will be in by March-April.

Those flares look awesome.

Thanks bud

My very first thought while driving back home from Allen Tires was that the Coopers were seemingly silent in comparison to the Toyo MTs. Looking forward to some trail time with them.

3 days and around 12 hours of time put into them. For the most part... I'm happy with the install results. I'd be happier if they were installed with a combination of rivnuts and torx screws. All in all they are solid as is.

Trust me... I was very skeptical as well. The look is growing on me though, long term... only a couple twenty holes to weld for going flare-less. :sombrero:

Thanks Dave... The RTT was awesome for every nights sleep we had in it. It was however, getting a bit cramped for the four of us and becoming a bit of a pain in the ******** stowing since it was a T-Top. Comfort and convenience is high on the list for our family while camping... finding the ideal setup is part of the fun though. Currently I'm thinking ground tent and in-vehicle sleeping while solo. In the future, a 2 person RTT with ground tent. If money wasn't a factor a Campteq and Teardrop. As the boys get older and always trying to keep the wife happy while out camping, it's just about being flexible with everyone's needs.

Were did you source the Hannibal from? Those are hard to come by it seams, good job! With the Hannibal rack and those flare you have a very nice and unique look to your Cruiser.:sombrero:

Yeah I think we're both well aquatinted with the many pros and cons involved there. I'm doing the ground tent for family camping, and inside the 80 or in my 2-3 person tent when solo. The big downside of the ground tent is the time spent setting up & breaking down, especially if you do it every day; and that the tent, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, pillows, etc. all end up taking up room in the back. Still, it's worked ok for us.

I've spent the morning reading this entire thread and chasing many associated links.

I want to say well done for: (1) what you've done with the vehicle, and (2) the quality of your posts. Excellent photos and well written descriptions.

Question: The bracket for mounting the Hi-Lift jack on the bull bar - who is the manufacturer?

Thanks

Jim

I have the same brackets on my 80 for holding the Hi lift, made by Hi lift and you can get it through Amazon for $50.00.
