That depends on your goals.
4(or 6) wheel drive is very helpful for a camper in far more things than just "off-roading".
Just being able to camp on a beach (and cross the sand dune to it) or down a muddy road can be enough to justify the need.
Most people probably won't be trying to cross crazy boulder fields or inclines in their camper.
Right, mostly overdosed for customers needs probably.
My concern is also that you increase tire costs by 50%. But first of all this is technically not the best choice if you're willing to spend more than 200k into an all wheel camper with 7 meters length.
Sprinters are great ON road as to their lightweight uni body design. Neither their 4x4 or this design is great.
Btw: reducing the weight/ square of the tire is better done by increasing tire diameter before width. As the diameter counts in square. A third axle helps also but in a dimension of these small ties 6x6 conversion dies not count out ( usage/ price).
