Mexico Digital Maps?

Does anyone know of a good source of or have 1:50,000 (or similar) maps of Mexico in a jpg or tiff format?

I am in a bit of "map" no maps land because I have a MAC now and no Garmin GPS (they keep breaking, so I have given up on them).

I just started working with MacGPS Pro and would like to have some good quality maps for my trip to Copper Canyon next week. If not, I can just run with the base tracks and paper maps I have.

I haven't purchased from them, but http://www.mexicomaps.com/ says they have 1:50000 digital topo maps available via FTP download. You need to specify which ones you need (there is supposed to be a PDF key image to reference).

CD's are available from Omnimap.com

You can also find some fairly large PDF road maps from the Mexican government here:

http://dgp.sct.gob.mx/index.php?id=440

Probably not suitable for your Mac GPS Pro, but nice for laptop reference.

Sorry I din't get back to you sooner but for future use try these two sites. They are both super, best I have seen:

http://dgp.sct.gob.mx/index.php?id=442 ....Gov't maps PDFs excellent details unfortunately they are secured so hard to get a print of them with out doing a print screen

Best state and detailed road maps I have found, just right click and save to jpg. http://www.maps-of-mexico.com/mexico_states.shtml

Also a great source is Edmundo Fuentes who is building a blog of the Copper Canyon, maps and all ...I sent him some of my sources and he sent some back.

Hi, does anyone have any addition to this thread? I'm looking for Mexico topo maps as well, but I'm looking to complete my set of Mexico topo maps. This is a hobby, so I'm not really looking for pay sources. The best site so far was the topo maps linked to from this site

http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/mexico.html#country.html

But it is only some of the 250k maps, and not complete coverage. If someone has even the rest of the 250k maps not linked to on the site above, that would be a great help. Of course, a complete set of the 50k maps would be really nice too...
