How does the ladder work for opening the rear hatch?

They offer one for the 4th Gen but I don't know how it would work with a spoiler. I am thinking it may only work without the spoiler and that they just don't know the difference since only one 4th gen in existence has one so far that I know of.

clamp style mounts both top and bottom. the bottom just has a mount that adheres and tightens to the bottom of the ladder. top mount is slid on to the top of the door and provides mounting bolts for the top of the ladder to slide onto. the design goes over the spoiler making this non intrusive and fully functional. it wouldn't fit the jaos applications on our generation so yeah i believe you guys would have problems

Perfect day to give some attention to the 4runner. Decided to go up to Lowe's and do a little hardware shopping and come up with some limb risers. Ended up painting it all black to blend it in, overall pretty happy with it! Cost a little under 50 bucks and 3 hours constructing it best.

Coating all the pieces, in retrospect I should have done this last

why not use the P Shaped rubber coated clamps on the ARB too? the Ubolts look ugly and your rig is so clean and pretty...

Haha we were discussing this during the install. I went off of another guide and didn't really leave that decision power to myself beforehand. I couldn't find any clamps in larger sizes while there, I would need them to fit properly over the hoops. My original plan was to dremel the excess threads which would almost do but I agree it the clamp would look better. I'd probably have to reset the wires to if I do that.

....which reminds me I was pretty interested in taking the hoops off and having a flat surface on the top, these spur of the moment mods never compliment my planned ones dammit

Why not just drill and thread the hoops and use eye bolts? Should look very clean.:) Also use those tension shock absorbers for the chains on screen doors to keep the cables tight w/o turnbuckles? Would make the cables easy on and easy off.

LOVE the look of those tires and I'm seriously considering them for my Tacoma if they'll make them in a 33x10.50R15. I'm anxious to hear your impressions of the tires.

what exactly does a limb riser do for you?

Ideally meant to push branches away from the windshield, works about 60% of the time but its better than nothing.

X2 How do ya like em?

So far these tires are great, 700 miles or so, almost all street. Took them for an off road rally style test and they gripped better than any tire I've had on it. Road noise is really quiet, the tires have some adaptive tread wear technology that conforms to your specific rim. I have a 7.5" rim which leads to a bit of crowning on sidewall and horizontal tread...best illustrated after driving on dirt you can see the outer edges on the side don't have dirt. Now the tires have adapted more or less to the shape it needs to retain so I've noticed significant improvement since the day I got them, but I also had the fronts rebalanced and the truck realigned just to be safe.

Do you have any experience with BFG AT KOs? I'm curious how those tires compare on the highway. If they're as quiet or quieter, I want them to be my next tires!!

I've been through near 75,000 miles with BFG's AT but I haven't used them for the last 50,000 miles so its kind of hard to remember. Also I had them in 265 and 285 variants I have the 315s of these, so in more ways than one I can't accurately compare. I'll get a video uploaded of a drive by so you can hear it but its really not too bad, I would say off the top of my head closely competing with the AT KO on road manners.
