I think its German It's double wall body with aluminum inner piece thats water tight. I believe it was originally used for hot foods but it also works geat as a cooler (fits an 18 pack plus ice perfectly)

Outer case question.

I am interested. Is the exterior aluminum or plastic like a "Scepter"?
