The trailer weighs 3300lbs. Looks like the trailer needs a heavier axle system

This is loaded for camping. Add another 50lbs for food and misc.

The trailer is too heavy for the suspension.

The dry weight of the trailer is 2,250lbs add
water weight 370lbs
fridge 50lbs
spare tire 100lbs
propane 74lbs
battery 100lbs
awnings 75lbs

769lbs the payload is only 481lbs

I am not sure the sink and stove , heater weighs but that could bring the payload down a bit more

Why isn't the awning, battery, fridge, spare and propane included in the dry weight? Dry weight should be as the trailer came, the only weight added should be the propane/water and anything you added.

The difference between the 3500lb and the 5200lb axle is the damper. .
Mike, do you now plan on replacing the original damper with the heavier 5200 version? If the unit are essentially the same that shouldn't be that difficult. This is something good to know.

I suppose people add what they want so each trailer weighs differently.

I was premature in saying the trailer is too heavy for the suspension. It is my trailer that has an issue with the camber adjustment .

I need to get the camber fixed and I think that will be the solution. Fortunately it is easy to adjust with shims.

Let us know how that turns out. You've gone through a bit of the nasties, but I'm really impressed on how you are working through everything. Keep it up!

Yes on the list. Lots of things I've been fixing.
Sorry all as I am slow to check this thread lately. I have a different faucet but similar issue. And the faucet leaks underneath since it is the wrong one. I don't have the hot water but this is a Hot/cold faucet so when turning on the water, cold comes out the hot line below. A couple attempts to cap it have not worked so next step is replacing the faucet altogether. Also the faucet is turned on if you close the lid with it in some positions. SO MUST turn off the pump regularly.

Thanks. John and Mark have been committed to making things right.

Update to our Mission....been out several different trips and heading to WV for the long weekend. Hopefully get a full week away yet this fall.

Changed out the rear door struts for longer so we don't hit our heads on the handle. Been very happy with that $50 and 10 minutes.

Next fixing the sink leak underneath and provide for an easier drain out below.

Will be adding a Darche 180 once they are in stock. I'm happy to read the good experience on here. How severe of weather have you had it up and anyone tried without poles? The dog's leash gets wrapped anything near the trailer. Not many options in 180 without poles and any type of real weather. I'm happy with the tarp so far and it is easier with the trailer than before but looking for faster to open and pack up.

Next big project will be the storage drawer above the fridge. I have an oversized box with about 8" of space. So I had an aluminum tray made, slides bought and some L extrusions. Just need the nerves to start drilling and putting it together. This will hold more kitchen and food items, probably drinks so we can replace as we take a cold one out. Pics once it is done.

Added a holder for a cord to the drivers side fridge door. Easy just need better bolts than the Frontrunner spares I used. Already rusted in a couple months time. (if you have any frontrunner gear, buy SS fasteners to replace and be done. The coated black doesn't last at all. I have two racks and numerous bolt on's.)

Adding a separate Victron battery monitor. I was ready to buy some solar panels then the dog got sick soo that $$$ is put off. Batteries next year to match. (Yes Lithium, I know the cold issue) . Also need to run bigger wires to the fridge, I get a low voltage light all the time it's on. Never an issue running off a 300w inverter in the car.

Mounted the trasharoo to the spare, needs minor adjusting after I fit the grill(frontrunner! ) so it can ride there as well.

Added gorilla pads to the cushions to keep from sliding.

Happy with the interior fans and happy I didn't go with a ceiling one.

Finding the right size boxes to organize the inside storage. Dollar General has been out of most lately.

Need to adjust every latch so they work, fitted properly. Check wiring, add protective covers to the back of wiring.

Need to fix the kitchen slide that doesn't work right , afraid I might need to completely disassembly the unit.

Anyone have a solution for the floor gap around the water fill? Don't want to sink the boat during the first water crossing.

Want to try an induction hot plate but need the lithium/solar and an inverter upgrade first. (See youtube videos by Drifta and Safiery from Australia.)

Pics coming once I get them to upload. (file too big)

Doug

I am sure there is more but that's enough for now.

I found a 4-in drop hitch in my box of stuff.
The trailer sits so much better behind the Land Cruiser. The safety chains and wiring and tongue jacks are so much higher off the ground. Four inches did make a big difference. (That's what she said.)

A few questions with winterizing.
- how cold can it get at night with temps being well above freezing during the day, before I have to worry about breaking something?
I'm hunting this week. Nights are suppose to be in the mid to low 30's, but daily temps should be around 70. I was planning to use water and heat as needed.
- I may have missed it, but what is everyone doing to winterize?
