I used the RV stuff, and found it nearly impossible to get the taste out this spring. So this fall I will drain everything as best I can and leave it empty. I wish the tank had a drain.
Regarding freezing: a few degrees below freezing is probably OK overnight? Much more than that and I would drain the trailer and use portable containers.

Doesn't sound like it's getting cold enough to freeze to water in your tank or in the hoses which are insulated from the exterior.

Last winter Beastie spent the life of luxury in Mark's heated building. This winter I am worried about everything you guys are. My plans are to dump as much water out of the system, remembering that I have an older original tank than you, and keeping it in a unheated storage garage. I have always wondered if we add several gallons of a water/alcohol mixture to the water tank if we'd be alright. Of course I think it would be prudent to pump some through the water heater (which ever model you have) to ensure that the shower system doesn't freeze out too. In Spokane, we seldom get below 0 deg. F.. but still need to worry about the hoses, etc.
I don't want to add the typical RV pink fluids into the system. Like Carbon60 says, worry about getting the bad taste out of the system.
So I'm watching what everyone comes up with. this is not a problem with just our type of trailers. So there must be an answer.

Mike, great to see you and wifey still out living th good life. We’re pretty much stuck inside due to the hazardous air quality conditions. Three days so far. At least the air quality index has dropped from over 500 to just over 300. Weather forecast is grim, no change until possibly this weekend.
We Had planned on a quick multi day trip to Kelly Creek with hopes of catching the Kokanee spanning. But now even that is out of the window.

Got a cut side wall and a bunch of tree in between the bead and rim of the other tire while out on the Medano Pass .
Mission Overland was buying me new tires anyway. now should I buy a spare or should I take my chances and drive home without one?
My friend has a Tacoma which I believe is the same bolt pattern but with a 16-in tire.
Be sure you have enough jacks and some 2 X 4 blocks to get the trailer high enough to get the new tire on.
Depending on the terrain, you might not be able to dig a hole to accommodate the spare.

What tires are those? I went with six lug wheels and BFG KO2 same size as my T4R. Wonder if you Could have installed 5 lug wheels on your trailer when you bought it. That way you could have two spares all the time.
Here is a pic of Mark and Nanc up in Bonners Ferry, ID this summer. For those of you who have never met Mark. What a nice guy! He told me he is designing a new 13' trailer! I'm trying to get some more info out of him. If I do, I'll post it up here.

There were no options available for me to change hubs.
The tires that came with it were some Chinese tires apparently aren't very good because they went bald in less than 10,000 MI and then of course the trail damage which can happen but probably shouldn't have.
It's a shame for the amount of money I paid for this trailer the amount of issues I've had with it.
I think trailer manufacturers make claims for their trailers but based on the fact that they know most people are not really going to use them.

I took a detour up to Pueblo Colorado picked up two new tires.

I prefer mud terrain on the trailer as if you do get into mud the tires will not fill with mud and then stop turning.
