I really liked what EV did. It will be interesting to follow the aftermarket sales of these later rigs. I say this as a Fuso owner for the last 10-15 years.

The Fuso has never been a finesse rig. It was so well balanced as an adventure beast with the dual speed transfer case. Since that was replaced with the duonic
it became a confusing choice with being a low finesse rig with little off road chops.

The clock started ticking for EC the day that FUSO changed to the moronic transmissions. Of course they would never say that about the new versions as the FUSO was all they had. EC had no choice but to keep producing them. They tried several options and expansion of the line, but their life support was unplugged when Fuso left the US and it was just a matter of time.

I was under the impression that the majority of Mitsubishi sales facilities were still authorized repair centers with parts also. I have never had any issues with acquiring service or parts.

Thought I might post mine up. I've been touring in it full time for about 18 months and its great.

Its a slide on obviously, allows me to use the canter as a run around when I'm camped for more than a few days.

Biggest downsides.... I wish the passenger seat was more comfortable!

Interesting slide on pod camper, how much do they weigh loaded with water?

Is that one of the Austral units?

Single cab, so I'm guessing a 4.2m tray?

You're game running around with the rear legs attached. So easy to get caught up when doing a U turn in a tight place. My mate didn't rip one of his off, but when it got caught, big damage. I too have a slide-on, but I run with the legs off.

We have two Stratos seats in our single cab Isuzu 75/155, I know of two Canters with Stratos seats on the passenger side, so it's doable. We kept the cabin legal for three people, the bench seat was shortened and the third person sits between two Stratos seats. Not good for any distance travelling, but for short trips a reasonable outcome.
