OK, somebody needs to 'fess up and share on the latest Four Wheel Campers ad in the latest Overland Journal Gear Guide...

It shows a well equipped Dodge Power Wagon and a fully decked out Hawk camper...

I'd love some more details on the rig and the cool looking rear tire/gear rack on the back. Looks very well thought out and clearly custom.:Wow1:

That is Barry's truck & camper.

He lives in So Cal.

He was up here at our factory the last 2 days, kinda hanging out with the owner of FWC.

He has had his camper for 2 or 3 years now I think?

The truck looks even better now (the pictures attached are from a few months back).

I will see if anyone took pictures yesterday.

No expense spared for the truck.

The camper is getting a workout, that is for sure.

It looks like he is having fun.

I think they are working on a new special "top secret" project for this next year.

. . . throws out another teaser

Thanks Stan... I figured you'd know the story

I looked on your web site in the customer picture gallery and couldn't find it.. so thanks for the added pictures. Very cool rig.

I've been trying to figure out how the rack on the back works...?
looks to swing all to one side... tire side I think.
What does he carry in the big white locker?
Hope it's not to heavy what ever it is... it's hanging wayyy out there.

Always thought that would be the perfect combo... Dodge PW and FWC.

But why does the ad make it look like he slid off the road into the brush?
My first reaction was that people will feel the truck is overladen and went out of control.
I would have rather seen the truck looking level and stable, not like it is about to roll over. Maybe a nice scene with a campfire and some real people sitting in chairs enjoying a drink.

I believe this is the same truck I saw@ Aluminess recently. Custom Carli suspension,American Tank long range gas tank. To many goodies to mention.

OK, I admit it, I was the one who got the Jeep stuck.

:littlefriend:

It was actually pretty awesome, being out there with a some very capable trucks, and some VERY experienced drivers, and knowing that you could have a bit of fun and not be too worried about getting stuck.

Scott showed us an awesome self-recovery technique to get the Jeep turned around on the narrow trail.

And that Power Wagon of Barry's totally Rocks!

I love this truck! The only new truck worth buying these days……My favorite color of Power Wagon too.

I remember seeing that white Silverado on threads past which explains why after studying the FWC add in the Journal mounted on this PW for a long while had me wondering if the FWC was just that bad of a fit on late model Dodge or if the camper was originally made for a different truck. The camper just doesn’t fit like a glove like one would expect (also curious if the cab roof hits the camper bottom when flexing the chassis). The rear bumper almost looks like a donation from another truck as well. I hate the fact that Dodge has the OEM bumper impressions in the stamped into the rear body panels. Regardless, I love it! Can’t wait to read the review on this fine machine.

Oh, yeah…what happened to the red pin strip on the front section of the bed?

My FWC Hawk on my 03' dodge 1500 (still the current cab style I believe) only has 1.5" gap between the roof and camper so something is different about that combo.
