Snow storms are lots of fun, ice not so much! Not even sure I will be able to get my door open

Yikes, you can keep the icy conditions then. Has it ever gotten so bad that there was a need for studded tires out there? Not sure if chains would even work on those conditions or if anyone would even attempt driving during that time.

Not here. We don't often get ice storms like this, and its usually a 24 to 48 hour thing. There was a really bad one in Eastern Ontario in 1998. Half the province was without power for a week in the dead of winter.

I live near Toronto so everything is paved quickly. No need for studs for me here. I should also point out studs are illegal in Southern Ontario. They are really hard on tarmac

Yikes those conditions look like all sorts of fun.

Got up this morning and the roads were buried under six inches of snow. Again. Looks like we might have a white Christmas after all.

Better snow than ice! Lot of power loss here.

I'd love some snow, although it will be a white Christmas here

Dang that sounds like fun actually heheh. Man I wish it'd snow or rain for long periods of time here. It's been so dry and bland around here. I'm jealous.

What part of California are you from ? Having spent all my life in southern Ontario I'm so used to having four very distinct seasons.

He's in the Los Angeles county. We do get snow up in the mountains around here just not wide spread. We don't get the constant rain as most other places so sometimes we go through dry spells and then it dumps...or sprinkles.

Yep exactly, and the dumps and sprinkles last only about an hour or so. Then it's sunshine. News stations make the "storm" big news, same with "cold" weather (~40*-50*). Useless news stations.

Well not to rub it in, but I'd take living with those little storms over a blizzard every day of the week and twice on sunday. :ylsmoke:

I'm planning on moving to the Bay Area, so more rain is in store for me, but just enough to my liking and to provide deciduous trees, not that different in the end.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Rolled over 200 000 km on the way to a family dinner today

Skids are going on tomorrow and the lights wired up.

Oil change and tranny fluid done, tires rotated.

I didn't get the skids on today, I will have to drill 2 holes in the cross member that holds the torsion bars. My brother and I had to do some work on his Jeep so I will leave it for another day.

The lights are all wired up, I used the harness that came with the lights, way too easy. I mounted the switch into the blank panel beside the rear wiper. I will still have to make studier mounts at some point. I am very happy with the results, I will get better pictures of that another time.

I basically can't see the headlights when I have the rigids on ...

Nice work and wow that's one bright LED light! BTW your passenger headlight seems to be out, I'm sure it's not but wondering why it looks that way?

Its not out, but its not aimed the same as the driver side, its higher. I can't adjust it down any further as the adjustment screw is rusted and stripped.

They need to be cleaned and adjusted, likely new bulbs as well. Time for some headlight TLC
