Mounting lights on Yakima Rack

Anyone have any ideas, or have done this. I want to put a couple of IPF lights on the front crossbar of my Yakima rack, towards the outside edge, near the mounts. Any ideas?

Thanks

The lights are just a $20 set from Auto Zone, but they have been one of the best mods I have ever made!

Here are some pics of FUBAR (AKA: Macrod on Cruiserville) and his Yakima light bar for the FJ Cruiser. I wish I had better pics.

He mounted the bar and put the lights upside down, so it had no less clearance than the OEM rack.

I will look for more pics, but I only wheeled with him once, so they may be hard to come by.

I also have buddies that took the original yakima ring (the clamp part that holds a lot to the crossbar) and simply mounted the light bolt through there and tightened it, worked out great!:26_7_2:

That sounds like a cool trick, I'll have to give that a try.

I like the mount you used, very clever. I'll have to check if Yakima has a similar product and try and find a used one.
