My 2011 In Pictures

Highs and lows. What a year it has been. As I ushered out a fast and fun 2010, 2011 was off to a great start. That was until early February when fire destroyed my newly constructed shop and left me scrambling to pick up the pieces of my business and move forward with what was shaping up to be a busy year. With the help of many compassionate friends and loving family the building was back together in short order and I was back to business as usual. From there, it was go time and I don't feel like I got much sleep in 2011. I wish I had take more (and better photos) this last year, sadly as I looked through my galleries I had few to choose from, thankfully I was able to borrow some from the friends and family I shared the memories with. With that said I give you My 2011 in pictures.

Thanks for such a great year. Despite having such a rocky start I can look back and honestly say it was a great one. A big thanks to all my family, friends and customers whom made 2011 the success it was despite a few hurdles along the way. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2012!

Now, lets see your 2011

Kurt, I did not know about the fire! Looks like 2011 was still a fine year getting out and about. Look forward to seeing you at CM12.

So jealous... don't see how you manage to fit it all in - and I'm retired! I really need to pay you a visit sometime and tag along for a ride.

Thank you for the order! That picture is from the Butterfield/Middle Canyon overlook spur which literally lets you drive up to where that photo is taken. Its amazing to stand up there and think that it used to be a mountain before they milled it down into a giant hole. Man is powerful.

Awesome pictures Kurt! Imagine what 2012 will bring.

I'm very excited for 2012, I'm sure you have a neat year in store too!

Can't wait for CM12, I've been finishing up the details for the CM San Rafael Swell overnighter this week. Going to be a great time. The fire was obviously a major downer but I did my best to move forward as fast as I could and get back on my feet with a shop to do it in. I'm glad to say the shop is back to 100% and even better than before, Phoenix Rising!

For sure, folks are always welcome in fact many of those runs are my Cruiser Outfitters Customer Appreciation events in which its literally just a show of my appreciation for those that keep me out playing. Others are part of the ExpeditionUtah and Wasatch Cruisers forums, most if not all of which are open for any to join along. I enjoy showing people around our lovely state and look forward to any future opportunities to do so, so get on out here. :D

Hi Kurt, thanks for posting and sorry to hear about the fire you had a couple of years ago.
I'm a fire investigator and am curious as to the cause of the fire at your shop?

They narrowed it down to a propane heater malfunction or a laptop. They took both and I never heard one way or the other in the end. Crazy to think that was 4 years ago
