My Arabian Nissan Patrol 1997 Y60 (GQ)

Just took these less than an hour ago. Monsoon is still "greening" the area

Thanks Dave!

Not always green :). Gets rainy about 3 months a year in the coastal line of Dhofar region.

Best month is September, when fog is not there and nature has reached its max ^_^.

Warm greetings!

Muhammad

I just went through the ONE MILLION pics of your Patrol. It does look really good. Keep up the great work.

Thanks ^_^

Still needing some Warn 12,000 winch + install my dual battery system "already have Warn's adapter" and some more lift maybe :). Might change the engine too ^_^

At our camp site in Ittin, Salalah, Dhofar, Oman. Was playing around in some muddy tracks before it: (My cellphone camera)

At Koor Waterfalls, Wadi Gardoum, Salalah, Dhofar, Oman

This might sound silly: The road is really tough but some sedans has managed to come here! They should got some damage for doing so.

That waterfall didn't show up since 30+ years. Theoretically, after the government started using sea water instead of wells, that made many new waterfalls flow again!

Nice pics, thanks for sharing. I never thought the middle-east area would be so lush or would have big waterfalls...

Do I spot a black Lexus LS460 sedan next to the LX470 SUV? Seems like Toyotas/Lexus are popular there.

Thanks stioc!

That's an LS430 and the car next to it is Land Cruiser. It's so crazy to drive a sedan there and it should get some damage along the road! In the pic there are 4 Land cruisers, 1 Hilux, 1 LX470, 2 Nissan Patrols, 1 Jeep GC, 1 Chevy Tahoe.

Toyota has the biggest share, Nissan comes secondly.

I got caught by police and they took my license until I bring the car with the exhaust silenced >_<. But put a 2.5" silencer so it's good for both me and the police *_^. I didn't want to compromise the airflow of my aftermarket 2.5" headers so it's still a full 2.5" but police-friendly :).

Got one of my tires teared after I run over a big rock at 40 km/h and put a tube in it until I get a new one + fixed my cracked spare tire handle!

I've been busy making short documentaries about our nature for Oman TV, and might use the car for some locations *_^:

I have a lot of respect for you making nature films, if you ever get them on line I would like to check them out. Like others have said you live in a beautiful country and have a nice rig to get around in.

Huge respect for you too! I would upload them later to Youtube but would translate them to English. Here is a great film of our region made by BBC channel lately, don't miss it:
