I had them on my trail rig for a while and switched to the new MT/R after I blew a sidewall out on a KM2. The KM2 is a great tire for mild off-road use and the tread works pretty well in all conditions.

Looks like I might be adding a set of Yukon free spin hubs, and a hellwig rear sway bar and air bags to this truck in the near future. Plus we are getting more into desert racing so this will likely turn into a chase rig, so racks, lights, winch, etc!

I would be really interested to hear your feedback about the Hellwig rear sway bar.:sport_box

Upgrades and the fun stuff are on hold for now, my injectors are going bad so thats almost 3k in parts just to get it in good working order again. Well with a little more power too.

Look into Glacier Diesel Power's 2 micron cylinder head mount setup. It mounts between the stock filter canister and the injection pump. Easy install. I've had mine on for 10K now. I change the stocker@ 10K and will change the 2-mic@ 20K. The CR injectors need clean fuel.

I have a FASS plantium series pump installed, so that has the better filtration system on it. I forgot to put that in this thread.

I picked up this 03 dodge ram 2500 CTD over the summer to tow my wheeling vehicle around but I recently upgraded it a bit:

2 inch leveling kit, ARB bull bar, IPF lights, and 35inch BFG Km2's on H2 wheels. I plan to add some hella 500's for a regular driving light in the fog light spot and then figure how to work in the blinkers because they didn't fit right. Then maybe a winch and some of that super cool synthetic rope stuff.:jump:

I think we are going to vinyl wrap my truck in a few weeks, more pictures later.:coffeedrink:

Nice bumper, but I'm just now noticing how exposed the radiator and power steering cooler lines are. I'm in the same boat after removing my air dam/valance. Aluminess is building me a prototype aluminum skidplate which should offer good protection. It won't be weight bearing but should provide protection from everyday road hazards. NTG Racing in Santee,Ca had a Dodge in recently where a 5-gallon paint bucket took out the radiator and condensor on the freeway. They are also offering rock sliders in steel for the 3rd gen Dodges.

Interesting, post up a pic or two of that when it shows up. I want to see what it looks like. We thought about doing skid plate like that on my truck, aluminum with some dimple dies would look cool and be functional too.

Alex,

What brand are the rocker guards on your truck? I like how their mounted nice and tight up and out of the way. How are they mounted? To the frame?

I can't recall right now, and the truck is at our shop because of the bad injectors, I will check on that tomorrow morning. They aren't really rockers, just side steps. Possibly westin ones? They mount the body mounts just off the frame I believe.

If we ever make this into more of an expedition rig, vs a chase and tow rig, I might change those out for something that protects a little better.

Your H2 wheels have got me sold. I think I'll hit up craigslist this weekend and get a set.

Side note:
The sunny days in San Diego are nice, but I miss Bellingham(my home). :safari-rig:

The Forest Service roads still accessible these days out towards Deming and Mt.Baker?

Out towards Northfork? We downhill mountain bike out that way now, but the trails are all closed down for off-road use. There is also some shooting out there but nothing more then gravel roads.

Do you have any pics of your truck and the HID lights? I have been debating a HID conversion but can't find enough solid information on any certain kit.
