With your heater and fridge, how long do you get on two batteries?

When winter camping and running the heater a lot I get a couple days easily. Summer time without the heater I'll run for 3 days before recharging.

I'm sure I could squeeze more out before a recharge but I usually don't drain below 11VDC before topping them off again.

FWIW the Powerfilm PV I got from Martyn & Mario works to or even above expectations. On the hunting opener last year the trailer sat disconnected from the LC for 6-days and with occasional heater, lights and the freezer running the dual Lifeline G31's were always at max voltage.

I think the Webasto needs 12v min to initialize.

Based on calculations, I am guessing about 40 pounds. I was carrying a spare wheel mount and treg hitch in the box which I have since removed to help.

I cant wait to try it out in two weeks

Finally broke in the camper this weekend. Went and stayed at Camp Hale north of Leadville and ran the Holy Cross 4wd trail with my club. It worked perfect and even though there was a big fire in the pit, people tended to gravitate to hang out under my awning.

Also found out it overpowers the people who come and ask my what my snorkel is into asking about the camper instead. Everytime I stopped for gas, food or the car wash on the way back (truck was dirty)

Sweet!

I agree, when I set up camp all my friends end up congregating under my awning or inside if all the canvas is set up. :sombrero:

I'm glad your getting out there and enjoying the KK. :wings:

Ken or anyone,

We have just taken our last trip in our pop up, matter of fact we are still on the road in Ouray, and for the moment, I've getting spotty service but still its service none the less.
So while i had the chance with the kids sleeping, I decided to quickly post that even though we are all having a great time with our trailer, I finally got the wife to give the thumbs up on finding and purchasing a K.K. So if anyone knows of one for sale, I would be very grateful for any help in finding one. I know and understand that their not easy to find used but I again wanted to reach out to the forum in hopes of maybe finding something.
Thanks in advance, an please keep the updates and pictures coming, that's one super bad, bad Kamper!!! Great find and with all the changes/upgrades, WOW. BTW posting while traveling on an IPhone is very challenging...
Cheers,

For some reason they like to tie the kitchen to the passenger side.

I think it has to do with opening away from traffic if you're pull off to the side of the road.

Not that it really matters for us -- we always find a turnoff/field to stop in. :)

It rocks having a hot lunch in a few minutes -- driving in the middle of nowhere!! :wings:
