Be sure to get a cover on the winch to keep that synthetic line out of the Arizona sun. You will also want to find a way to either cover or retract all the synthetic line into the fairlead to keep it out of the sun as well.

The synthetic winch line (rope) is wonderful stuff and has many advantages over the steel counterpart. The only shortcomings I can see are that it doesn’t like abrasion and the sun will reduce its life span significantly.

You definitely have a great looking K5. Enjoy!

I have the ZEON cover but it does not fit very well since I had the remote wire kit installed. I will get something made up for it though. Thanks for the heads up.
