Truck looks awesome!

Look forward to details on your battery setup. Is it a packaged setup like Victron or did you build your own system?

I'm just getting my 100Ah DIY lithium system up and testing - I'm always looking for more info and examples...

I worked with Jim Rixen at Rixen Enterprises to put it together. Right now all the cells are held together with big cable ties. I am building a composite box with a heater to hold them all.

Guys... Don't run your Lithium Batteries past 20% of charge. Technomadia at http://www.technomadia.com/lithium/ have been extensively testing and reporting on their LiFePo4 batteries in their bus conversion for about 4 years now. There is a wealth of information about lithium batteries on their site and Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHSpJWgeiEw

Regards,
Tom

Thanks for the link. I watched it. My system has most of what they discuss. I also have much of the same parts as the newer couple's system.

What are the wheels 'rated' at and is it confirmed via destructive testing?

thanks

I don't have a specific number. The rough guess in talking to the boys is roughly 5000lbs. I am not sure if Stazworks did any destructive testing. I looked high and low for a wheel (in the size I was interested in) rated anything much above 3000lbs and really had a hard time finding anything. I hope I have it right :)

Ceiling stringers

Every yacht (even if it is a land yacht) needs a little cedar. These stringers will support ash slats which will form the ceiling.

Updates please:)
X, I wish I had more for you. A bit of a stall on my end. More woodwork but nothing too exciting to take pictures of. I am in a mad scramble to get a bunch done because I get the truck in Breckenridge from DK Diesel April 26th. By May 1st or there abouts, I expect the box will get mated to the 3-point pivot. Big days ahead. Did you see the pics on page 11 of the truck?
