need a So Cal cruiser mechanic

hi guys,
my friend just bought the '79 BJ40 that was here in the classifieds. I thought I'd help her out by finding some decent places she might be able to go for the tlc that it needs.

does anyone know of good mecanics or shops that deal with these trucks in the Los Angeles area. I know of a place in Van Nuys called TLC4x4...anyone have experience with them?

We work with TLC with the Off Road Trailers, We have been to two shows with them, they are first rate people.

They have a full work shop and do some beautiful restoration work. Tom Rose is their General Manager, I'd just give him a call and talk to him about what you have in mind.

I drove by their shop everyday on my way to work for months. There were always about a dozen really nice looking cruisers parked there, and a few in the showroom (the Icons, I assume).
