the other thing i saw in your first post " you push the gas couple times,,,, wont do anything to help it start as it is fuel injected
That's thecorrect charging voltage on a Jeep with PCM controlled charging........Also the PCM or any other on board charge regulator won't ever charge up the battery to 100% or near there.....you need a correct multi-stage battery charger to do that - especially on a AGM batter like the Optima............. 86% , that's over about 12.5 Volts, should start your Jeep easily!So it looks like the alternator is good. it's running at 13.6 to 13.8 volts after starting. after a 5+ min drive it was running at 13.8 volts. A quick drive over to AutoZone and they are telling me it's at 86% and won't take a charge. so now ordering a new battery.
