Mine did come with clear covers, but that doesn't cut it for Ca. vehicle codes on off road lights. I have the clear covers underneath the KC softies.

Mayne,

I bought just the black covers for my Kragen 7" HID"s. Cost a little more than I wanted, but painting the clear covers would not hold up well and during use they would be vulnerable. You even get a little soft cloth bag for the pair not in use..................

Rather than buying opaque covers, I just cut two circles out of a sheet of black foam rubber from the crafts store, which I slip in-between the clear cover and the lamp. Instantly opaque, and easy to store when I don't need them.
