I still don't understand why ARB and Engel don't hinge it on the other axis. Why else would I be buying a kit to allow me to do so?

Sorry, just a little gripe......

Have you seen the new Engel or the Combi units? They do just that ;)

The new ARB Fridges are expected to arrive in the US in early 2009. ARB is predicting February if all goes as planned. They will be competitively priced with the Engel MT45 and there is a lot of good buzz over this fridge!

Im surprised to hear that. It was posted on an oz site last week that you can get ARB fridges in oz cheap as they were selling the last of them as the deal between ARB and Engels has ended.
Maybe its market dependant.:Astrologist:

why does the ARB fridge look like it was designed by fisherprice?

The toy industry has slowed, so they've offered their molding machinery up for use by whoever needs it.

I used to like the ARB fridges more than the Engel (based on looks alone). Now that ARB's looks like it should have a Barbie sticker on the side and sold by a Giant Giraffe the only choice is back to the Engel.

I think I will get the pink/chrome model, or have it modified to match my hardcore expedition ride.
