New BFG All Terrain Design?

I have had more luck with the BFG All Terrain T/A on multiple trucks than any other tire. I am currently on my 12th set of E rated T/A's of various sizes with no tire failures (other than picking up the odd nail). I have tried General, Mickey Thompson, Goodyear (crap), Toyo, Kumho, Marshal, Yokohama, and the T/A has out performed them all for my driving requirements.
Currently, I work up in the Rocky Mountains of North Central Alberta. I travel paved highway (ice and snow in winter), lots of gravel roads ranging from sticky clay to 2" crush, 3/4" crush, sharp shale, and it's not unusual to get a foot or more of snow overnight up at work. I need a good all-around durable tire that will tackle the ice, snow, mud, gravel, shale, and pavement. Over the past few years I have started replacing the T/A's on my work truck each fall to ensure that I have fresh tires for the winter (siping is very important on ice), good tread for the spring mud, then the gravel will typically chunk out the tire during the summer. There are other tires that out perform the T/A in the mud, or on ice/snow, or on the highway... but I have not found another tire that can withstand the abuse and still perform well in all these varied conditions. Buying a new set each fall is far cheaper than hitting the ditch and some of the roads I travel don't have the luxury of a ditch :-( .
I like the look of this new design, very similar sidewall "side biters" that I liked on the Mickey Thompson's, they provide added traction in soft terrain.

still not sure about the sidewall.

I really dig them, but I will probably wait until I see them in person to really decide.

Waiting for my current set of BFG ATs to die and then step up to 35s or 37s, this may be an option :) Will wait for the reviews to come out.

Let me see...

The new model tire is no longer made in a 33X10.50X15 with a C rating, it's now a 34X10.50X15 in D rating - OK

But... the old tire was $189.00 ea MSRP 10 months ago, the new tire is $367 MSRP!? ******?

Interesting pattern, looks very similar to the old one, but with more rounded tread blocks.

But no skinnie sizes in 17" rim :(

I saw a great skinny 17" tire. It was 34x10.5x17. Specs at 33.5.

That almost makes me want to get 17" rims.
