New BFG All Terrain Design?

The sidewall lugs look kind of cheesy but I guess it's what the market is demanding now.
Aesthetics are obviously a personal opinion, but those lugs provide a significantly thicker sidewall area to defend against punctures in a notoriously vulnerable area of the tire. This can allow a thinner, more compliant sidewall (load range C or D) with the puncture resistance of a thick, stiff sidewall (load range E).

As soon as I get my F150 I am installing the 34" on raptor wheels. I think they will work perfect on that rig. Keep the milage somewhat the same, and look really good on those wheels. I can also compare them to the 285s on my jeep. If I like the 34" on the truck, I will put them on my Jeep as well.

Forget load range `C´ give me load range `E´any day! Just curious, are they going to have the snowflake symbol that makes them a `snow tire´ ????:Wow1:

Not everyone drives a fullsize truck and needs load range E. On a lighter vehicles like a Jeep or 4-runner or other midsize vehicles, a load range E can become unbearably rough riding. But don't worry, tire companies tend to think like you and assume everyone wants a load range E. So you shouldn't have to worry about wasting 5 seconds of your life looking past a single load range C tire while browsing the 1000 load range E options you have available. On the other hand, those of us looking for load range C tires, will be scouring the internet high and low for months, hoping that someday somebody will build a decent load range C tires that fits our rig.

Yeah really. I am on E range BFGs now and they are MILES ahead of the ST MAXX that I was running before but I would still love a d load range BFG AT tire on my Jeep and move my E range to my f150.

I run BFG A/Ts on my truck and trailer. I do not like this new sidewall tread design. I will not be replacing the old design with these, but that should be a while ...
They should keep the old A/T and name it A/T Classic and name the new one A/T Grabber or something ...

Wow lots of dudes are experts at judging a book by the cover! Conclusions and they aren't even out!

I saw (and handled) one of the new KO2s the other day. I was thinking of them for my 100 series LC. After checking them out thoroughly, I'm going to stick with Toyo. The rubber compound feels totally wrong. Very much like made in China plastic. Weird I thought. They may turn out to be a great tire, but I'm not going to throw $1200 at them to find out.
