New BFG MT?

So is this new tread going to be better or worse on pavement, particularly wet or snow packed? The MT was great in deep snow, but driving up to go skiing was a white knuckle deal (even siped in my experience) and so I went back to ATs because of it.
i ran the regular "blue label" krawlers for a bit on road. put about 5k on them. they were a 2nd tire for me, mostly offroad only.
however, they were great on pavement, and wet. great in mud. better than most swampers. they were 35's and weren't really loud. ran them on 3 different sets of rims and never had to balance any set, steel and AL. smaller tread blocks and the siping should make them even better, IMO. i guess we'll still have to wait and see, unfortunately...

Wow, very few 16" options. Looks like there's also little embrace of 75+ aspects. Form over function I guess.

No 15" at all and one 16", makes me worry about the 33x10.50x15 size... Surely this is just the first round and either they are going to expand the range or have both the KM and KM2 lines side-by-side.

I have to agree, theres just too much revenue to be missed if they dont offer an MT for the 15-16" market.

I'd like to see a 34x11.5x15or16

I don't know for certain but my understanding is that the new KM2 will be offered in addition to the current KM, not instead of . I think that BFG is just capitalizing off the Mud Terrain name.

Anyone heard what price the new style would run roughly? Hopefully not near as much as they get for the Crawlers now, which are pretty spendy, even for a large tire.

If they've changed the compound to something that doesn't chunk, if they've improved the sidewall strength, and if they are round, I might consider them...

If they do infact have the 255/85/16 out by the oct. I will get a set to run to Baja this year. Kauffman tire is going to sponsor our trip and we are all getting some new shoes as part of the deal. I was going to run the trxus mt but would love to try the new BFG MT

Re-read the ETA for the 15" and 16" tires, Sept 2008.

Sept 2007 is the time frame for the 17s...
