That I don't know. The only models I have seen are in new sizes, so I don't know if the tread pattern is going to replace the old tread pattern or just supplement it.
I'm wondering if it's not a supplement. The MT and AT tread patterns I have to think are bread and butter for BFG off highway line and it seems radically messing with it would be a mistake. So they will offer the KM and KO treads for actual off highway use and PP and GH (powderpuff and greenhorn) for mall terrain trucks and boulevard cruisers.

The more I think about these the more I feel disappointed. Where is the siping? I hope the sidewall is beefed up. The original is an icon but could use some updates (ie sidewall, sipeing, maybe even sidewall lugs).
I hope this is just meant to suplement the existing lineup. Otherwise I will be sticking with my Maxxis big horns as my favorite 255/85 that is easily available.

Here is a picture of my ideal m/t. I think it is a bfg prototype.

Marketing-wise, I have not idea how much or little BFG should do to the tire. I mean it's a very recognizable tread when you see it in the dirt. Lots of companies would kill for the product recognition that the BFG AT and MT have.

OK, but yeah, taking the current MT and adding factory sipes would be a huge improvement in making it a better all around aggressive tire...

But I have a feeling this is mostly hype. If BFG did take this pattern across the board it would be genuinely retarded. But would probably sell a lot to the yoyos with Ford trucks with 6" lifts and 35" tires, which may increase their bottom line, which is may be what they are after versus a more all-around functional MT design..
Judging by the size of the rim in that picture, and the total lack of siping combined with (I assume) their standard wears-like-iron tread, I'd guess you're right.

New BFG M/T

Here is a photo of the new BFG M/T on an Ultimate Adventure truck...notice its similiar to the current Krawler however the tread pattern is much tighter than the Krawler tires, and they are siped. Those are 42x20's -

There were 3 models of the new BFG KM 2's. The photo on the UA vehicle is of the latest version.

They are adding some larger sizes to the line, 37" +

I believe the newest issue of 4wd Owner briefly mentions some facts about the new BFG Muds as well.

So, does anyone know when they hit the market?????? I'm currently running 245/75 16 MT/R's on my WJ, but they're on their last leg. I just lifted it 3" so I'm ready for 265's and i'm debating whether I'm going with BFG M/T or staying with MT/R.

So is this new tread going to be better or worse on pavement, particularly wet or snow packed? The MT was great in deep snow, but driving up to go skiing was a white knuckle deal (even siped in my experience) and so I went back to ATs because of it.

Apparently, BFG's still not putting in stud holes :( I like MTs for snow & ice, but they gotta be studdable.
