Since when did putting Johnson Rods on a EAS equipped Rover become “ruining the suspension”?

And no I don’t want Good Year tires that gum up in any type of sticky mud/clay. Or the same Good Year tires that crack to hell and back in just a few years in the Florida sun where I live.
All tires crack in the Florida sun of you leave them parked outside all the time. If that's your concern, get some cheap Coopers or a Discount Tire house brand.

New Defender sales will struggle against all modern vehicles of "similar" capability at 1/2 the cost of Defender. There are two separate markets; Defender buyers in one, everyone else in the other; some of those are waiting on Rivian, Cyberjunk (T Cybertruck), etc... different markets.

As far as the comment on bags struggling in cold weather; absolutely zero data that proves that statement and just about every modern militaries run bags on all their new equipment in every clime and place with no issues. Commercial vehicles have been running airbags in the Klondike, Siberia, etc.. since the 1970's, if there are problems it is from o-ring seals on cold chrome and oil inside the shock and nothing to do with the airbag.

Also, modern lithium technology for MHEV type vehicles have battery warmers inside the battery compartments; although the vehicles have more parasitic draw but it's not much different than not plugging your trickle charger in for battery maintenance on any vehicle that sits a long time without operation. Battery Management Systems (BMS) and warmers come in even the cheapest of lithium batteries from China; are we seriously thinking JLR, Tesla, and all other manufacturers forgot to consider cold weather testing in 2020? Still many downfalls of various battery applications but again, modernization continues to take place at a faster rate than any other time and batteries have never been better.

Not saying all of these things are the end all because everyone has their own wants/needs, etc. However, to make blanket statements that are just not true in any sense; like technology and innovation and engineers for some reason have missed the mark on every aspect because we didn't get a solid axle and coils in 2020 is ridiculous.

Hopefully the 2021 Defender gets solid axles, no air conditioner, and leaf springs cuz this thing will never run in cold weather, start with modern battery technology, or be safer unless we remove the airbags and seatbelts. Since the Bronco is going to share much of the Raptor technology, that means it is probably getting the electronically controlled and tunable suspension that went into the Raptor I think in 2018; who in their right mind would ever want or build modern suspension with electronics, air, magnets, magnetorheological fluids, etc.?

A few companies using Air Bags, electronic suspension, and innovative fluid dynamic tuning suspension in extreme cold and hot weather environments:

Ford, D-Chrysler, Ferrari, Lambo, Tesla, GM, Fox Shocks, King Shocks, Ohlins, Oshkosh, Peterbilt, MAN, Iveco, General Dynamics, Artic Cat, Can Am, Bentley, Boeing, Cessna, Gulfstream, NASA, Airbus, SpaceX, Blue Horizon, blah blah blah blah.....lol.

Except my air bag 95 RRC sagged in cold weather, personal vehicle technology is not commercial grade, batteries don't like cold, range of lithium based EVs drops in half in cold weather and life cycles are consumed faster. All this is basic reliability engineering 101. Adding complexity requires the reliability off all components to be increased just to maintain system failure rate.

Now this is trying too hard... Kinda like Instagram #Vanlifers showing a half naked girl looking out the back of a Westfalia at a hidden Mexican beach - we know that's less than 0.1% of living / overlanding in a van.

Likewise, 0.1% of farmers are going to pick the new Defender to haul hay bales.

The person has a farm according to his post on fb, so why shouldn’t he use it for farm related work?

plenty of Luddites were happy to say it would never see a farm and be bought by city living folks.
