Alright, the sizes are apparently for the whole N. American market, not just Canada:
305/70R16..........E-ply

So basically they are going after the light-truck crowd with the larger sizes of both tires and wheels. A lot of the newer pickups are coming from the factory with 20" wheels.
I wouldn't hold your breath for the 255 size either, it's unfortunately not that widespread of a size in the tire market.
Any idea of a price for the 275/65/20 and the 305/55/20 and what they measure? My new pickup did come with factory 20's and I hate the tires that are on it now.
